Today is the first Friday of June, which means it’s National Donut Day! Americans have been celebrating this food-related holiday since 1938, and donut shops around the country, including several Dunkin’ Donuts locations, are giving away free donuts to customers today.
Unfortunately, all of the donuts served at Dunkin’ Donuts are made with eggs and dairy products from animals forced to endure miserable conditions on factory farms. Watch COK’s undercover video inside one of Dunkin’ Donuts egg suppliers to learn more.
Help us put a compassionate twist on National Donut Day: Visit DunkinCruelty.com now to urge the world’s largest coffee and baked goods chain to offer vegan options.
Let Dunkin’ know that making egg- and dairy-free donuts doesn’t mean skimping on flavor. Rather, it simply means offering a healthier and more humane version of one of America’s favorite foods. Need proof that vegan donuts are packed with flavor? Earlier this year, the all-vegan Dun-Well Doughnuts was named “Best in NY” by NY Daily News, outranking every other donut shop in the big apple. (Dun-Well’s vegan donuts are pictured above.)
Don’t live in New York? Check out our handy vegan donut map to see how easy it is to find — and indulge in — delicious, cruelty-free sweets!
