Animal Outlook received footage from a third party showing widespread cruelty at Ali Meat International in Orlando during the 2025 Eid al-Adha holiday, including untrained customers performing throat cuts, a seemingly reluctant child being physically guided to slaughter a lamb, and animals being shocked, thrown, or improperly handled and remaining conscious for several minutes after having their throats cut. This follows a documented history of violations at the facility, including a 2024 USDA citation and a 2021 suspension for an employee throwing a conscious lamb against a fence. Animal Outlook is now calling on Florida's agriculture commissioner to fully investigate and shut down the facility for repeated breaches of the state's Humane Slaughter Act.
