VegWeek 2026 is here! Last week in Atlanta, organizer Nichole Dandrea-Russert, MS, RDN threw down at the Patagonia store with a VegWeek kickoff party that proved something we’ve always known: when you put delicious plant-based food in front of people, barriers dissolve.
Plant-based sausage stuffed mushrooms. Vegan shrimp scampi bruschetta. Even the self-proclaimed picky eaters were blown away by how good the vegan shrimp tasted. Because here’s the truth—when the food is this good, the conversation changes from “can I?” to “why haven’t I?”
This is the power of community-led activism. Nichole didn’t wait for permission. She created space, brought people together, and showed her community that plant-based living isn’t about sacrifice—it’s about abundance, flavor, and a better future.
At Animal Outlook, we’re proud to support events like this with resources, sponsorship, and educational materials. Because real change doesn’t just happen in courtrooms or boardrooms (though we’re there too). It happens in moments like these—when someone takes a bite of vegan shrimp bruschetta and realizes their assumptions were wrong.
Across the country, people like Nichole are proving that the future of food isn’t coming—it’s already being served. 🍽️
To everyone organizing events, hosting potlucks, and starting conversations in your communities: you’re not just changing minds. You’re changing the world. We see you, we support you, and we’re building this movement together.
