Malibu Garden, Black Bean sandwiches now available at select Subway locations in Los Angeles
The hearty and healthy Malibu Garden patty is chock full of whole grains such as brown rice and rolled oats, plus veggies, and comes topped with a creamy vegan fire roasted tomato sauce. The protein-packed Black Bean patty contains brown rice, corn, bell peppers, cilantro and garlic, and is topped with a vegan sweet potato curry sauce. Order both on Subway’s vegan Italian bread, and as always, you can customize your sub with additional veggie toppings.
Where can you get the new vegan subs? Right now, nine Los Angeles-area stores are testing these options:
- Subway: 1111 N Fairfax Ave. #108, West Hollywood, CA 90046 (323-650-2888) – Malibu Garden
- Subway: 825 N Douglas St., Los Angeles, CA 90245 (310-426-9711) – Malibu Garden

Employees at both locations have told us that even though the subs have been available for less than a week, they’ve already received rave reviews. The stores are getting calls from customers asking for more locations to offer them.
Do you know of any additional locations offering these tasty vegan subs? Let us know.
This isn’t the first time Subway has tested vegan options. In DC, a handful of stores introduced three vegan sandwiches that were so popular, they ran out of these patties within two short weeks. Other stores are also serving falafel while Subway restaurants throughout Canada have successfully rolled out a “Totally Vegged” all-vegan sub.
Wish Subway would serve these new all-vegan Malibu Garden and Black Bean patties in a restaurant near you?
