We’re deeply grateful to all who participated in our recent supporter survey. Your thoughtful responses provide crucial guidance as we refine Animal Outlook’s strategies for maximum impact on behalf of animals. We’re delighted to share key discoveries from the survey and outline how your feedback is directly influencing our work moving forward.

What drives our community

First and foremost, what unites us all is clear: 100% of you are motivated by preventing animal suffering and advancing animal rights. This shared commitment is the beating heart of everything we do at Animal Outlook. Your trust in our impact (76%) and support for our investigations and campaigns (60%) fuel our determination to expose the truth about factory farming and hold the industry accountable.

Among those following a vegan diet, 93% were motivated by animal ethics and welfare, with environmental sustainability (43%) and health considerations (29%) also playing important roles. These multifaceted benefits of plant-based living strengthen our outreach efforts.

A diverse and welcoming movement

One finding that particularly stood out to us was the diversity of dietary journeys represented in our community. While 33% identify as vegan and 20% as vegetarian, nearly half (47%) of survey respondents are occasional- to frequent meat-eaters. To all of you on different stages of this journey—you are most welcome here, and thank you for being part of our movement for animals. Every step toward reducing animal suffering matters, and we’re honored to support you wherever you are.

It’s especially encouraging that 45% of you said Animal Outlook has helped you in your diet change journey in some way. This inspires us to continue providing the resources, recipes, and information that make plant-based living more accessible for everyone.

Strong mandate for legal action

Following our Legal Townhall at the end of last year, your survey responses sent an unmistakable message about the importance of our legal work. An overwhelming 93% of you want to see Animal Outlook secure more protections for animals through the courts.

This strong mandate has us energized for 2026. We expanded our legal team at the end of last year and are currently developing at least ten new strategic litigation initiatives to challenge the systemic abuse of animals in agriculture. We look forward to bringing you lots of great Animal Outlook legal news throughout the year as we use the power of the law to protect animals.

Activating supporter power

It’s clear that you want to be active participants in creating change. With 86% of you valuing petitions and action alerts, you’re urging us to provide more opportunities to use your collective voice for animals. We increased the frequency of our supporter actions last year, but your responses show there’s even more appetite for meaningful ways to take action.

In response, we’re committed to bringing you more strategic online actions that can make a real difference. Whether it’s pressuring corporations to make choices in the interests of animals or demanding accountability from government agencies, we’ll ensure you have regular opportunities to flex your advocacy muscles for animals.

Growing our movement together

Your enthusiasm extends beyond online action—49% of you expressed interest in volunteering with Animal Outlook! Half of those interested want to help with community outreach, while others are eager to engage in social media advocacy and recruiting even more volunteers. We’re developing a comprehensive volunteer program for 2026 that will offer meaningful ways to contribute, whether you have an hour a month or more time to dedicate.

Looking ahead

Your survey responses have given us clear direction: expand our bold legal and investigative work while providing more opportunities for supporter action and engagement. Together, we’re building a powerful movement where every voice—whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or reducing your animal consumption—contributes to creating a more compassionate world.

Thank you for your continued support and for being part of the Animal Outlook family. Your voice matters, your actions matter, and together, we’re making a profound difference for animals.

P.S. If you didn’t get a chance to complete the survey but would like to share your thoughts, please feel free to email us. We value all of your input as we continue to evolve and grow our impact for animals.
