With summer behind us, stores are breaking out the fall decor: pumpkins, scarecrows and best of all, Halloween decorations. Halloween is a great time to switch to vegan alternatives to classic Halloween candy — here are our five favorites.
Sour Patch Kids
These sweet and sour candies are primarily made from corn syrup, sugar and food coloring. A real crowd-pleaser.
Airheads
Airheads are another great vegan alternative for Halloween candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters.
Cocomels Sea Salt Coconut Milk Caramels
Unlike most chocolate candies, Cocomels are not made with dairy products, but instead with coconut milk. These candies still give that classic chocolate flavor but are completely vegan.
Jolly Ranchers
Jolly ranchers are another great candy that is completely vegan. Each candy is individually wrapped and packs a whole lot of flavor.
Smarties
Smarties are a forever fan-favorite that can be found at nearly every grocery store.
While vegan candy might not be any healthier than non-vegan, with these options we can indulge cruelty-free this, and every, Halloween. Check out this blog post — and this one too — for even more options.

Glad you like the post, Jerilyn! No, Charleston Chews aren’t vegan – they contain eggs and dairy 🙁
