Last month, we were excited to announce that vegan actors dominate the nominations for the prestigious 85th Academy Awards. And now we’ve got even more good news to share: it’s not just beautiful vegan people, such as actresses Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, who will be celebrated that evening — vegan food is taking center stage at the annual post-Oscars Governor’s Ball!
This event has been catered by vegetarian-friendly master chef Wolfgang Puck for the last 19 years. With approximately 1,500 guests attending, including many A-list stars, it’s the ultimate opportunity to demonstrate to Hollywood’s elite just how delicious and decadent vegan eating can be.
What will the stars be indulging in? Over 50 dishes representing Chinese, French, and Italian cuisines will be served throughout the evening, and in a recent Reuters story, Chef Puck promises “a strong focus this year on vegan dishes, including pizza, kale salad with grilled artichoke, and a beet salad with spiced walnut among others.”
Hosting your own Oscars party? Check out Compassion Over Killing’s recipe library to design your own vegan feast to enjoy during the show (broadcasting on ABC on February 24 at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST). And don’t forget to invite friends over to share!

At first, thank you for sharing!! Vegan lifestyle is really good. Vegan is not semi/full animal food. We know that vegan is non animal product or foods. Actually, vegan is really good for my body fitness. Thank you!!
