Last Thursday, over 100 UCLA students attended a career fair to join a movement that’s rewriting the future of food.

At the Sustainable Food Futures Fair, Animal Outlook didn’t sugarcoat the truth. We showed our undercover investigations. We exposed what happens behind closed doors in animal agriculture. And something powerful happened—students didn’t look away. They leaned in.

One future advocate told us: “Once I learned what goes on in our food system—some animals don’t see sunlight, some can’t turn around, some can’t move—it was hard to look away. So I went plant-based. Now I’m inspired to change my career to veganize food systems.”

This isn’t about following trends. It’s about leading transformation. The next generation gets it. They see compassion as strength, not weakness. They’re ready to rescue animals as a career path. They’re planning campus chapters, vegan food samplings, and systemic change. Sixteen new advocates joined our ranks, ready to challenge the status quo through investigations, legal advocacy, and fearless activism.

Another student’s words still echo: “Just because the people around you may not agree with vegan living, doesn’t mean you should stop doing what you believe in.”

That’s the energy we need. That’s the future we’re building. To the UCLA Plant Futures chapter—thank you for the invitation. To our sponsor, Dr. Bronner’s thank you for the products which were gratefully received by our student prize winner. To every student who stopped by—you’re not just choosing careers. You’re choosing justice.

Ready to join us? We’re hiring undercover investigators, legal interns, and chapter leaders who refuse to accept cruelty as normal. Because normal isn’t good enough anymore.
