We love sharing photos from the farms we’re helping to transition out of animal agriculture, including these festive treats.

The McCray’s have been transitioning their dairy into an agrotourism venue by reducing the heard size and sending male calves and mothers to a sanctuary instead of slaughter. The income is being replaced by seasonal events such as live bands and miniature golf in the summer, pumpkin patches and harvest festivals in the fall, and holiday lights in the winter. Learn more about the McCray’s Farm transition here.

To the farmers watching, wondering if transition is possible: It is. Email us at farmtransitions@animaloutlook.org.
To everyone who said it couldn’t be done: Welcome to the new economy.
