Starbucks offers many plant-based milk alternatives
Summer is in full swing, and it’s sweltering out. The heat index is hitting triple digits, air conditioners are cranking and everyone’s looking for ways to cool off.
Did you know you can find vegan choices at Starbucks? There’s one on every corner, and the popular chain has a ton of cruelty-free options.
Here are eight of our favorite vegan drinks to order at Starbucks:
Caramel Frappuccino with Coconut Milk — While caramel typically isn’t vegan (it’s made with milk and butter), Starbucks’ version is free from animal products. But the caramel syrup they put on top isn’t, so just ask for it without (and hold the whipped cream, too).
Cold Brew with Coconut Milk — For the serious coffee aficionados, cold brew is where it’s at. The icy, potent liquid is excellent when paired with coconut milk. But it’s great straight, too.
Iced Passion Tea Latte with Soy Milk — Passion tea has a sweet, summery flavor that’s perfect for a hot afternoon.
Green Tea Frappuccino with Soy Milk — If you’re looking for something a little more filling, the green tea frappuccino is the perfect dessert. Stick with the regular and not the “light” version; the latter isn’t vegan.
Strawberry Açai Refresher with Coconut Milk — While this drink is usually made with water, you can ask for coconut milk instead for a sweet, creamy, and invigorating treat.
Mango Black Tea Lemonade — If you’re into Arnold Palmers, this is an extra-special version. There are other options, too, including green tea lemonade, black tea lemonade and peace green tea lemonade.
Iced Mocha with Soy Milk — Love all things chocolate? The traditional iced mocha is always a win. Pair it with soy or coconut milk and it’s 100 percent vegan. Without whipped cream, of course.
Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher — This fruity concoction features fruit juice, green coffee extract and whole blackberries. Basically it’s a drink and a snack all in one.
(Pro tip: if you’re missing the whipped cream on any of the above drinks, grab some Cocowhip and pop a scoop on top. It’s so creamy and sweet, you’ll never miss the dairy).
Want to see even more choices? Let Starbucks know that you’re enjoying its vegan beverage options and ask the coffee-and-more chain to add vegan food options to its menu too.

This list will definitely come in handy this summer! Love your tip about Cocowhip, it’s about time Starbucks introduces a vegan whipped cream!!
What is inside the caramel drizzle making it non-vegan?? Is it a dairy product or animal fat??
