At the Detroit Red Wings’ “Paint the Ice” event inside Little Caesars Arena today, a local artist created a special message for the pizza giant: Red Wings fans (and pizza eaters everywhere) would love a slice of vegan cheese pizza!
Joining other hockey game-goers in covering the icy “canvas” with artwork, Detroit-based artist Joshua Burley helped Compassion Over Killing paint a picture for Little Caesars, of how the company can cash in on a massive market of consumers who want dairy-free cheese that’s not cold to cows.
International restaurant consultants Baum + Whiteman report that vegan cheese will become a common sight on pizza and burger chain menus this year.
Yet, Little Caesars lags behind!
US pizza chains, including Mellow Mushroom and Pieology, as well as Pizza Hut UK and Domino’s Australia, already offer vegan cheese.
In fact, Domino’s Australia recently put deliciously dairy-free cheese back on its menu after it kept selling out!
Will Little Caesars be next to dish out vegan cheese in the US? Voters in our Pizza Wars poll seem to think the company’s biggest competitors will beat Little Caesars to the goal.
If you want Little Caesars to get in the game and take a slice out of cruelty, sign and share our petition today!
