After a campaign by Animal Outlook, Lightlife drastically reduced the use of eggs in their line of vegetarian foods, by 166,000 eggs annually. The brand also introduced three exciting new vegan items.

Now chickens, and all animals, have more news to celebrate: The company has announced all of its products will be 100% vegan by the end of this year.

Marketing director Brad Lahrman told VegNews, “Animals or animal byproducts simply aren’t needed to create delicious, healthy, protein-rich food.

We definitely agree, and so do millions of consumers who choose plant-based foods.

As demand for vegan food continues to rise, meat companies are taking notice, too. In February, Maple Leaf Foods bought the soon-to-be-vegan company for $140 million. Even the CEO of one of the largest meat producers in the world, Tyson Foods, knows that the future is meatless.

Thank you, Lightlife, for leaving animal products out of your food.
