An investigation by Animal Outlook has revealed that Wild Fork Foods—owned by global meat corporation JBS—was displaying and selling foie gras products across all 11 of their Southern California stores, seemingly defying California's explicit legal ban on such products. This investigation found foie gras openly displayed in stores, sourced from La Belle Farm in New York. This apparent legal violation promotes a product created by force-feeding ducks until their livers swell to ten times normal size, causing severe suffering including throat injuries and organ failure.
