Study: Meat Increases Heart Disease Risk, Plant Proteins Protect!

Research shows that diets heavy in animal products can put our health at risk, even rivaling smoking in terms of raising our risk for cancer!

Now, a new study, published in the International Journal of Epidemiology, links regular consumption of meat protein to a 60% higher risk of heart disease, and finds that a plant-based diet can protect us from cardiovascular disease!

As Newsweek reports, The study is the latest to find a link between meat and ill-health.”

The article adds, “In 2015, the World Health Organization warned in a report that processed meats such as bacon, sausages and ham cause cancer. Eating 50 grams of processed meat, or less than two slices of bacon, increased the risk of developing colorectal cancer by 18 percent.”
