One of the largest threats facing animals in the United States right now will soon come to a vote in the House of Representatives. You can take action to stop it by taking a quick moment to contact your elected officials.

The House Agriculture Committee has passed its 2018 Farm Bill out of committee, with Representative Steve King’s dangerous amendment included.

Going to a vote on the House floor soon, this legislation would gut existing animal protection laws. This means your voice is urgently needed right now to help stop Rep. King’s amendment to the Farm Bill.

Undermining the authority of states to pass laws protecting animals and citizens, Rep. King’s amendment could roll back hard-fought and important protections for animals.

At risk are state laws regarding factory farms, puppy mills, horse slaughter, shark finning, and cat and dog meat.

In 2014, thousands of animal advocates helped to defeat a similar measure by Rep. King, and your voice is needed to stop this new, alarming legislation.

You can be a defender of all animals today!
