This Election Day, remember – whether your political views are liberal or conservative, and even if you’ve already voted or are too young to vote, each one of us has an important choice to make today: what to eat.
A growing number of people, from politicians to athletes to journalists and everyone in between, are recognizing that our dietary choices have a far-reaching impact on our health and the planet as well as billions of animals. Sadly, birds, pigs, and cows raised for food in the US are denied adequate legal protections and are routinely treated in ways that are so cruel, it would result in criminal prosecution if those same abuses were inflicted on the cats and dogs with whom we share our homes.
Regardless of your party affiliation, compassion is a non-partisan issue — and it’s something we can all vote for Election Day, and every day, simply by choosing vegetarian foods.
And you don’t have to stop there! Help “Get out the Veg” by supporting COK’s powerful pro-vegetarian commercial campaign, which is changing hearts and minds across the country!
