We have 2 FREE tickets to the award-winning documentary Vegucated premiere in DC to bestow upon one very deserving, yet randomly chosen, individual! See below for details on how to enter our Get Vegucated content.
If somehow, you haven’t heard about Vegucated until now, here’s the premise of the film, which will be premiering next Wednesday, November 9th at Landmark’s E Street Cinema:
There’s Brian, the bacon-loving bachelor who eats out all the time, Ellen, the single mom who prefers comedy to cooking, and Tesla, the college student who avoids vegetables and bans beans. All 3 of these meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers will agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks, while being filmed for the guerilla-style documentary, Vegucated.
Lured with true tales of weight lost and health regained, they begin to uncover hidden sides of animal agriculture and soon start to wonder whether solutions offered in films like Food, Inc. go far enough.
Isn’t this the type of crash-course in vegan eating that you’ve always wished you could enroll your friends and family in? Of course, it’s not all education. This film is fun and silly too — capturing some of the most hilarious preconceptions about vegan food, working through some of the classic breakdowns in communication between people of varied diets and just generally covering some of the funnier moments in being new to plant-based eating.
And, though they can’t actually re-film the movie starring your friends and family, like we all wish they could, you can still bring everyone to see it next Wednesday, and stay after for a Q&A with director Marisa Miller Wolfson.
You in? You can play it safe and purchase tickets right now. Or, you can try to win our two free tickets. Here’s how:
All you have to do is send us an email with two bits of information:
- briefly explain why you want to see this film
- tell us about your vegetarian-to-be friend or family member who you’ll be bringing to this screening with you (and why you want him or her to see this film)
That’s it! Then you’ll be entered to into our Get Vegucated contest. All emails must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday, November 6th and the winner will be announced on Monday, November 7th. Tickets will be available at the door.
