Call Your Senators Today

The Save Our Bacon Act would wipe out state laws banning gestation crates, veal crates, and foie gras. A three-minute call to your senators and representative can help stop it. No experience needed, just follow the script below.

Why this matters

The Save Our Bacon Act would strip states of the right to regulate how farmed animals are treated, undoing voter-approved bans on gestation crates, veal crates, and foie gras. The Senate has kept it out of its Farm Bill so far, but negotiations are ongoing and the pork industry is still pushing to add it back in.

Lawmakers are in session this week and listening to constituents. Your call tells them to hold the line.

Sample call script

"Hi, my name is [your name] and I'm a constituent from [your city, state]. I'm calling to urge Senator/Representative [name] to oppose the Save Our Bacon Act and keep its provisions out of any final Farm Bill. This bill would strip away state laws protecting farmed animals, including bans on gestation crates, veal crates, and foie gras. Please reject it. Thank you."
